What are the benefits of a geared tripod head?

Packaging
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the only plastic in the packaging was some foam used to securely package the tripod head.
Design
The tripod head is made of an aluminium alloy material that is lightweight, only 800g. It has a load capacity of 7kg so your big bazuka lens will even feel stable with it. It is also equipped with high-precision micrometric knobs to control independent movement in 3 ways. CNC precision (The process of cutting raw materials) means that every single part of the tripod head feels like it clips together perfectly. I love the 90 degree dials on the side to help you find the perfect angle. It's also great if you are really particular with your angles when you repeat shots.
I really like the orange quick adjustment knobs.When set to your desired angles, it helps changing between orientations and angles a quick and smooth process.
Uses
The tripod head has a multitude of uses but what I believe it would be the most useful is night sky photography were you need a solid tripod that isn't going to move and ruin your long exposures. It's great for nature photography if you are after precision with your compositions. Commercial photographer will also find joy with this tripod head as you will be able to manipulate your tripod with precision for those high pressure shots.
The two spirit measure bubbles are a great help to make sure your camera and horizon is level.
Durability
As mentioned previously, this tripod is made with an aluminium alloy material that is extremely durable. I had full confidence in it to survive a battering on a photography excursion.
Conclusion
Overall I'm really impressed with how precise you can get your framing with this tripod head. It is a bit bulky to carry on a hike up the mountains with the rest of your camera but it's not going to break your back if you do.
